Yuneec Breeze scoops Top Tech Award at IFA 2016

We are super proud to announce that our new flying camera, Breeze, has already landed an award at IFA 2016, Europe’s most prestigious technological gathering. Thanks to its intuitive ease-of-use, range of flight modes and high quality 4K camera, the Breeze stood out from a strong crowd as the winner.

The guys at Digital Trends were really impressed by the Breeze and its offerings, here’s what they had to say:

There were a lot of drones at IFA this year, but even among a sea of incredible UAVs, Yuneec’s Breeze drone stood out.

Why? Well for starters, it’s the first 4K camera drone from a major manufacturer that you can get your hands on for under 500 bucks.

But that’s not the only reason we picked it. This little whippersnapper also boasts a range of automated flight modes (follow me, orbit, selfie, and more) that are normally only available in much more expensive hardware.

Basically, it’s a highly capable camera drone designed for casual pilots instead of hobbyists. It gives average Joes an easy way to snag eye-popping aerial video, and for a reasonable price, too.

For a selfie that’s (sorta) out of this world, you can’t rely on your arm and a selfie stick — you’ve got to turn to a drone. After all, life looks better from a bird’s-eye view, right? For everyone in agreement, there’s a new “ultimate flying camera” known as the Breeze. It’s a $500 device perfect for drone enthusiasts, camera lovers, and narcissists alike.

Featuring five flight modes and the ability to share images immediately via social media, the Breeze from electric aviation company Yuneec International is meant to take “ultra high resolution aerial photos and videos” of its user. Easy to transport thanks to its compact size, the Breeze will fly inside, outside, and just about anywhere you’ll go (well, not underwater). You’ll control the Breeze using naught more than your smartphone by accessing the Breeze Cam app, available for both iOS and Android. Once both you and your flying camera have come down to Earth, you can use the app to share both photos and videos through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Tian Yu, chief executive officer of Yuneec International said:

“With the popularity of selfies at an all-time high, we set out to create the ultimate, user-friendly flying camera which allows people to take their photos to new heights. The Breeze includes the Ultra HD and flight mode capabilities of our top-end drones, and because of its size and ease of use, the Breeze seamlessly integrates into just about any activity, whether it’s a first time outdoor adventure or yearly gathering with friends and family.”
