MicroPower wins security industry recognition for surveillance

MicroPower Technologies Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimised for rapid, cost-effective deployment, announced today their acceptance of a Security Sales & Integration ‘Most Valuable Product’ Award in the category of “Megapixel, 4K Ultra and Other HD Cameras” during SSI’s annual SAMMY Awards reception at the Venetian on Tuesday, April 14.

The first-ever MVP awards are chosen by a panel of experienced integrators, who judge based on “product design, features and benefits, including the ability of the device to help integrators open up avenues to a potential new customer base, enable integrators to design and install systems faster and thus more profitably, or help integrators gain a profitable margin on the equipment itself.”

SOLVEIL HD was also the recipient of a Platinum-level 2015 ‘Govies’ Government Security award in video surveillance. The award, presented by leading industry trade publication Security Products, recognises outstanding products that address security challenges in the government market. The finalists’ standings were announced at this year’s ISC West 2015 conference at the Security Products booth.

“MicroPower continues to cement its status as a unique power-player in the area of solar, wireless video surveillance and outdoor perimeter protection,” said Dave Tynan, Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales, MicroPower Technologies. “We are thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive market response to SOLVEIL’s release earlier this year, and that our signature product has been honored by industry-leading publications with these top accolades. The awards all but reaffirm our commitment to delivering cost-effective and energy-efficient surveillance solutions for the most challenging security applications of the future.”

The award-winning product, the SOLVEIL HD Surveillance Platform, is a powerful and highly reliable megapixel camera that enables users to achieve high-resolution video coverage in perimeter and outdoor areas for enhanced security and operations monitoring. SOLVEIL’s integrated wireless and solar-power capabilities eliminate the need for power, network and transmission cabling, reducing upfront costs and installation complexity. Additionally, the system complies with global unlicensed open radio frequencies. Operating on a nominal 3/4 Watt, the SOLVEIL solution can capture and transmit live video up to a half-mile away and provide reliable performance for up to five days on a single charge of its integrated, long-life battery pack.
