He launched Security Voice on behalf of the Joint Security Industry Council (JSIC) and CCTV Image magazine on behalf of the CCTV User Group. He organised the first ever Security Excellence Awards while editor of SMT and has sat on the judging panel for the IFSEC industry awards. Peter Mawson is the driving force behind the site’s commercial relationship management. Peter is a seasoned business development and media professional with over 15 years experience in media and commerce. From a career that began in the music industry in the UK, Peter has worked to grow bands, magazines and businesses. Over the last 15 years in the security sector he has developed high profile initiatives and worked behind the scenes with key clients to expand markets. Clients like Sony, Panasonic, JVC, and Tyco (among many others) have collaborated to achieve their business objectives. Peter is also a member of the Company of Security Professionals whose aims are to create and nurture a culture that secures the principles which protect people, property and liberty.
